MOM: Game 16
Wow….. What a game! A goal in the 1st minute, 2 own goals, a last minute pop shot that hit the post!.. I must say that was one of the closest games this season and a fair result. (Must say how our team with an average age of 76, (thanks to Woody + me otherwise it would have been 100+).
(Can someone please tell me who the missing goal scorer for the whites is?)
So who was your MOM?

Great game, my MOM as below:
1. Alex D - thought he was excellent at the back, also good going forward.
2. Joel V - seemed to be in all the space especially 2nd half

Dave Mill scored our 1st goal,
Great Game this week closest game we’ve had in a long time
My MOM’s
1. Joel - Great game from joel this week, he was always in space when we attacked and made sure he came back and defended when we were struggling.
2. Mini mill, great game from mini pulling off some amazing blocks to keep us in the game a number of times espcially towards the end with that block on the goal line.

I don’t normally find the time to come on and leave comments which I accept is a failing on my part, but given how good the game was last night I just had to post a comment to say thanks to everyone – what an excellent end to the weekend!!
As far MOM in my mind there are only two individuals who could be up for the vote this week. Not only did they play at a very high level in comparison to their usual performance but I think they performed to a high level when compared to anybody else on the field.
1. James D – his running the wing, control, composure, crosses and shots were excellent.
2. Josh D – got in the way, made some excellent tackles to stop some promising attacks from the opposition and didn’t panic in some difficult situations. His decision making was excellent and even when he pushed out of defence he showed some great skill including a lovely turn away from Phil in the first half.
Really great game guys – enjoyed it immensely.
The irony is that when I fouled Phil in the first half I really hurt my big toe – it’s all swollen and bruised – it may even be broken, I’m going to get it checked out tonight but unfortunately it may rule me out for next week and possibly longer!! What worries me the most is that Phil appears to be made from some kind of indestructible substance – has anybody seen Terminator???
Think twice before tackling Phil!

Great game with some fantastic football on display.
MOM Votes are:
1) Trigger - solid all night despite carrying an injury.
2) Woody - very good 2nd half did a cracking job of moving forward and covering back
3) Yes 3 votes this week - Andy P - Came up wit hthe goods when it was needed with 2 great goals.
May I also say well done to all the colours as we must have had the oldest team in history:
Woody - 21/22???
Andy P - 25????
Luke - 27
Travis - 45
Bomber - 45?????
Trigger - 47/48
Alex D - 49
Phil 73??????
It was an acomplishment that we finished the game with 8 men let alone with a draw as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great game chaps

Awesome game. The goal time for my goal was 8.9 seconds or something daft, clearly the average age of your team has effected the memory as the
first few minutes are too far away to remember, just a blur…..
As for Joel kicking Phil is something I stopped doing a long time ago, you must be a slow learner. Hard to pick just 2 players in this game:
1) Andy P
2) ALex D
PS. worth mentioning Bomber as he worked wonders with an ‘experienced’ team and scored one of the most bizarre ogs i’ve every seen.

Good point Mill Bomber did have a good game and grabbed a great goal.
If I could have had the same kind of composure in front of goal then we could have been celebrating a win and not a draw.
